Hello,

I would like to welcome you to the website for Hertford College Boat Club. As a club we pride ourselves on our inclusivity, and have a friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy both the sport, and the friendships and socials that accompany it.

Rowing at Oxford is a unique experience, and we offer training for all levels of experience: from novices and social rowing, to our 1st VIIIs competing in the Oxford bumps regattas and at national events such as the Head of the River Races. We are proud to have had particular strength over the last decade in pushing athletes for the University squads, particularly with lightweights. Of these, Paul Mattick and Steph Cullen have gone on to have successful international rowing careers, both winning at the World Championships.

Our alumni and supporters are of immense value, and come to support us at both Oxford bumps races and external regattas. They really make it clear that rowing for Hertford is not just something that you can do in your few years at Oxford, but also something that can remain part of you for life. If you're interested in rowing or coxing for HCBC, please contact us!

Fear the dear!
